I am a 58 year old 10 year plus veteran student of Kate Novacks yoga classes. I attribute my health and well-being to her. Kate has given me the care, healing and tools to live a full life, despite the condition I have been diagnosed with. (a chronic degenerative bone disease). Kate’s classes are filled with love , inspiration and over all good vibes. As one student put it “you feel as though you’re floating after Kates class” so light and limber! There is something extremely special about her practices. It doesn’t matter if you are new or seasoned, young or old, full figured or tiny, male or female , everyone is cared for, welcomed and challenged to their own personal edge. Kate puts extra effort and concern not to have anyone injured or feel as though they don’t belong in the class. Try it out you will love it!
KNY Yoga
Kate’s intention as a yoga instructor is to compassionately guide and empower students to heal themselves and to reach higher levels of consciousness. Trained in Hatha Yoga, Kate delicately focuses on balancing the masculine Sun energy (Ha) and the feminine Moon energy (tha). The intention of the yoga sequences she teaches are to train participants to understand how to unite opposing energies within the body, mind + spirit. This is facilitated through explaining and demonstrating how to practice a focused gaze (drishti), breath control (pranayama), meditation (dhyana), physical postures (asanas), the light of consciousness (chit) and the use of sound (mantra).
Kate honors individuality on the mat. Her style of teaching is accepting, loving, energetic, restorative and expansive. She believes everybody and every moment is unique, therefore she encourages students to be present and to modify or challenge themselves to their personal edge.
